Why can you trust Borderline operators?
Borderline Kerbing Auckland has been operating under it’s current ownership for 15 + years and operators are experienced and professionally trained to ensure every job is done to Borderline’s high standards.
How long does it take to lay concrete curbing?
Most jobs are completed in one day or a little longer for bigger jobs.
Will there be any damage done to my lawns, gardens, paths or driveway?
No. Impact to your property is minimal as our machines are light and compact and will not damage your existing flower beds or foliage. Also we mix our own concrete using our purpose built self-contained trailer so there will be no heavy concrete trucks that can cause driveway damage.
What do we need from you on the day we start your job?
There are a few things that our crew will need in order to complete the job. We will need access to a standard garden tap for water. Also please advise us, if there are any underground services like pipes, wires, near where we are installing kerbing.
Can tree roots cause problems with kerbing if it is laid near trees?
No, not normally if properly managed. We will chop any tree root near the surface when we install the kerbing and then all that is required is to spade along the back of the kerbing yearly.
Will I need steel reinforcing bar (rebar) in my residential kerbing?
We can include this with some of the profiles, but in most cases this is not necessary for domestic applications. We can advise on this at the time of quoting.
How long will a quote take on my property?
We normally visit each job to quote and this takes 1/2 an hour to 1 hour depending on complexity, and your individual kerbing requirements. We can also usually give accurate price indication with a phone consultation.
What are the different applications for Borderline kerbing?
Borderline Kerbing or continuous concrete landscape border edging can be used to enhance your lawn areas, driveways or flower beds, ensure there is a weed barrier, help with erosion control, define landscaped areas by providing a neat and defined outline, and contrasts in texture, and colour the curbing can bring.
Is the Borderline kerbing expensive?
No, it compares very favourably in comparison to traditional concrete pre cast edging and other landscape edging methods and gives much more flexibility to get the design you want.
Can Borderline kerbing be used to control overland water?
Yes we have successfully installed kerbing on the edge or next to drives & garden beds to control water.
Does the concrete garden landscape edging need on-going care and maintenance?
We seal the kerbing on completion of the job with a high grade commercial sealer. After this it needs minimal maintenance. We recommend to keep it looking great, you resurface it approximately every 2 years using a good quality masonry sealer or we are happy to come and do this for you for a small fee.
